Legal Advisory And Policy Development

I supported the development of the Uganda Succession (Amendment) Act No. 16 of 2018. In 2012, I developed collaborative management agreements for gazetted lands in Karamoja and prepared constitutions for 43 communal land associations in the Karamoja sub-region to manage common property resources of pastoralists. I participated in drafting amendments to the Land Act and Land Regulations in 2004. Additionally, I developed the Environmental Impact Assessment Guidelines for Uganda in 2000, regulations on water rights in Uganda in 1998, the draft National Disaster Preparedness Policy in 1998, and the draft Wildlife Statute in 1995.
